Twitch streamer MissMikkaa has completed Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree with a dance mat controller.

Fans of the streamer won’t be surprised by this news, after Mikkaa previously not only completed the base game on a customised dance mat, but played two games simultaneously on dance mat and controller.

Of course, the release of Shadow of the Erdtree means she’s back at it. And, after a week of dancing, she’s completed the DLC. There’s a video of the feat below so spoiler warning.

Nintendo’s Switch 2 won’t be hit by the same component shortages that blighted the launch of other recent consoles and led to months of product scarcity and scalping.

Speaking to investors this week, Nintendo said it had now “resolved” the issue which had seen it unable to manufacture enough Switch 1 hardware to meet demand in previous years. Both Sony, with PlayStation, and Microsoft, with Xbox, faced similar shortages for their own parts.

“That situation has now been resolved,” Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said of Switch 1 stock. “As for the
successor to Nintendo Switch, at present we do not think shortages of components will significantly affect production.”

Mubi, an art house streamer and distributor, has acquired the US cinema rights and the global streaming rights for a documentary made entirely in Grand Theft Auto Online, which has a Shakespearean twist.
This documentary is Grand Theft Hamlet, and tells the story of two unemployed actors who went about staging a performance of Shakespeare’s tragedy within GTA Online. It was directed by Pinny Grylls and Sam Crane.

“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy,” Hamlet says to Horatio in the play, and while he probably wasn’t chatting about video games, I feel this quote still fits here.

GAME customers who pre-ordered Silent Hill 2 and sat nervously waiting to see if their copies would arrive are now beginning to get their deliveries – but many appear to have been sent the wrong version.

Speaking to Eurogamer, GAME pre-order customers say they have received the game’s standard edition rather than the pricier £65 version they paid for.

Some customers say they’ve received a message from GAME informing them that their Steelbook will now arrive separately, though there’s no estimate as to when. Others say they have not received this message.

“Hi Customer,” the message reads. “Thank you for pre-ordering Silent Hill 2 with GAME! Unfortunately there has been a delay with your pre-order bonus Steelbook. We are aiming to have this with you as soon as possible and will be shipped separately to your Silent Hill 2 order. Thank for you shopping at GAME.”

This is on top of the weeks of concern over the fact GAME no longer shows older pre-orders on its website, and a month-long delays for other game deliveries, despite the chain still taking money for them.

Liam Hemsworth had not watched Netflix’s The Witcher adaptation or read the original book series before being cast as Geralt of Rivia.
The Hunger Games star is set to take on the mantle of The Witcher’s white-haired monster hunter for the show’s final two seasons, following the departure of Henry Cavill. However, while Cavill was a known Witcher lore aficionado from the get-go (his co-star Freya Allan, who plays Ciri, has even referred to him as a “Witcher bible”), Hemsworth was not as au fait with the source material when he was cast.

Airship Syndicate, the studio behind the likes of Darksiders Genesis and Wayfinder, has announced its second round of layoffs in less than a year. These latest job cuts will impact 16 employees, with Airship blaming “difficult challenges facing our industry.”

The studio initially laid off 12 people back in January, two months after its publishing agreement with Warframe developer Digital Extremes – which was handling Airship’s free-to-play fantasy game Wayfinder – collapsed. Since then, Wayfinder has been reworked and re-announced as a single-player title, the overhauled game eventually releasing back in June.

Unfortunately, its retooling doesn’t seem to have given Airship a sufficient boost. In a statement shared on LinkedIn announcing the studio’s latest layoffs, CEO Joe Madureira and president Ryan Stefanelli explained, “In light of the difficult challenges facing our industry, we’ve had to make the tough decision to let go of some incredibly talented Airship team members, including 12 full-time employees and four contractors.”

Krafton’s acquisition of Hi-Fi Rush studio Tango Gameworks was motivated by the desire to maintain its legacy, rather than actually make money.
Krafton boss Changhan ‘CH’ Kim spoke to Game Developer about the “last minute deal” after the studio was closed by Microsoft alongside Arkane Austin and Alpha Dog Games back in May.
Tango was acquired by Krafton last month, although only 50 out of the original 100 staff will transfer over.
